God January is proving to be a scarey month on the zone, a whole lot of my friends are getting banned for dumb reasons. most recently I received a call from good old buster gonad, he told me he was banned for having 2 accounts, witch he didn't! I have a right to be mad don't I? and as such I will rant on the freaked out ranty type board! I think he should be allowed back! big ak47 was banned for 2 accounts and he was allowed back the next day. Why can't Joe come back? I find this dumb, almost like picking favorites! witch may a remind you is wrong and evil! grrrr. anyone whoever thinks he should be allowed back please say, if not or you are the fucking friendly racheal thing keep your lips sealed. I am unhappy and don't need a bunch of crap being as this rant board is for ranting and what now... now I'm don't, yay!

I know the whole story, and I think its so stupid, cause that other account was created a long while back before joe even joined the zone.

Mmhmm, it feels like favorites to me too. That isn't fair! Just, please please please, bring him back! It ain't like he ever did anything wrong anyway, sheesh. And duplicate accounts? Right, cuz that account was definitely his. Nah man, I dunno who told anyone what, but it wasn't his. Any part he had in it wasn't a legitament reason for abanning, at least, not a fair reason.

A. only two people have posted to this board. B. Noone tells the story of Joe's account that doesn't exist. If Jess has the full story, maybe she should tell it in a logical, non-ranty way? I really don't care about the person who was or was not banned, but I'd rather know the full story as to this banning not being fair...Keep in mind, CL's and Admins have access to IP address's, so they could come up with furm proof of duplicates.
Although I did enjoy conversing with Joe here, I must agree with Nick. Jess, you should tell the story in its full length properly. And, cl's and admins do have access to ip addresses, so they would know if Joe created a duplicate account. Just reiterating.
Jess, it would be highly appreciated if you did tell the whole story since you know it so well.

Oy, I don't know much about Joe's banning, but Daniel, your um friend's wasn't permenant, and it was a light banning, and it was for harassment, which was told to sease several times, but wasn't listened to, so there you go.
I don't know the details of this banning, however it should be known that the staff have tools with which they can prove certains things concerning accounts, who uses them, possibly even who created them. We also don't know what information may have been found to even begin the investigation into such a banning, but I know that the staff have plenty to do, and don't just decide to start creating work for themselves, so just because people don't think it'sfair, consider that there is likely much information that isn't and likely never will be available to the rest of the users.
I also believe in Joe's own admission his current account wasn't his first, that he lost the access to the original one he had, and so who really knows when or if he created any of these accounts.
I also think that you've seen previously that a board like this is pretty damn pointless. did we have 200 posts before people let the Garret AKA Yankee G board die a quiet death, and yet it made no difference. It's just another of those zone mysteries you'll have to get used to.
I understand the board most likely won't make a different but it's how I feel about it and that's what the rant board is for, so I can rant, even if it's pointless
Ok... that account was around way before joe was, but apparently joe told me that is was linked to one of his old email adresses, and he said he had know idea who it belonged to.
i dk details, but i guess since bobby was perminately banned, he just had to fight back, get the password, and use that account, so now joe's banned

how come when eople break the rules then it is always throwed back on the staff for having favorites. Had the whole story been told buster had already been warned befor and previously banned for other incodents. ak47 had not that was number one as i read it.

Seriously Joe is awesome, but like everyone else has said, the staff quite likely has way more information than you guys do. And talking of unfair, how about the way every single time someone semi-popular is banned it's automatically the staff playing favorites and going power crazy. Yeah, lame. I know he's your friend and all, and like I said he's awesome and stuff, but I'm pretty sure some of you at least claim to be friends with some of the staff, so at least give them the benefit of the doubt occasionally? Maybe?
Sad, really sad. Well said Kev, Lol michelle and chelsea. One other thing to bear in mind is that there is a reason we have cl's. You're entitled to an oppinion of course, (astoundingly enough I have one too), but it seems to me that every little thing that happens on the zone is either ranted about or flogged to death in publics and on the boards here. With so many other things happening these days with far more wide reaching consequences, is it really worth getting so worked up? Let's have a little perspective here. Just my $.022 on the matter.

I have to agree with some of the later posts on this board. The staff are doing what is necessary given the information they have access to, so as unfair as it may seem, there is obviously a reason, so I suggest that some of you people should find some more solid proof before you make accusations about the staff. It's nothing against any of the people that think Joe should be brought back, because he was a really fun person to have around, but, at the end of the day, rules are fules, and we all fall under the same rules.

And fair enough cl's have access to IP's and such, but it's not fair for Joe to get banned for this when I, too, know of people with multiples who aren't banned, or who were only banned for a short time.

I still ahven't heard a well-formed account of what actually happened. Now, if Jess's half way written account is correct, then by fighting to get the password of, and then use, a friend's account, that is using an account that is not your own...Uh oh, flagrant violation of Terms of service...If not the letter of, then most definitely the spirit there of.

I'm really confused now on what actually happened, but i do know that in their terms, it says that if you are caught with multiple accounts, all but one will be disabled. I've seen a lot of cases since I've been here where all of them, without the exception of one, were disabled.
Is this what happened for busters accounts, all of them were disabled?

Sure Joe is a fun guy, but if you break the TOS then you have to pay the price. I like Joe, I'm friends with him, but without proof that he was banned unfairly, I'm not going to suggest he should be allowed back. Sarah, Cl's have the ability to check IP addresses, to what degree and how far into the past they can go, who knows? however I'm sure they would be checking to some degree as they need quite a level of evidence against a user before deciding whether to ban them or not.
I personally don't believe CL's want to ban users even if they do joke about enjoying it, so they will do as much checking as they can in such a situation.
Kev I didn't know Gerret so I can't comment on anything that happened with him, but not everyone does the same things. I'm very confused as to where you come about saying I'm an attention seeker. As far as I know I've never started drama or messed with other peoples hell I barely talk to people about anything personal so where you get this I'll never know. And maybe I trust the person I'm friends withs word over hear say. In Hanif case I got the truth outa Joe and Hanif everyone else was telling a million different stroies so yeah. while I can see both sides of this, I still want to know the whole story. so far I got that Joe got Bannd because of multiple acounts. I really don't think he had one. but, the CL's know alot more than we do. I agree with Kev that the CL's just won't go and ban someone as a joke, so they should have a reason behind this whole thing.
